Join us in hearing from Dante Rhodes, principal of Licton Springs K-8 School. He served as head teacher for two years before becoming principal. He is from Houston, Texas, and taught in elementary schools in Houston and Austin. He earned his degree in Education from the University of Texas at Austin, and obtained a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
Licton Springs School is a Native Heritage alternative school and emphasizes hands-on learning, culturally responsive curriculum, and community engagement. The curriculum is Native-focused, honoring Northwest tribes and the diversity of Native people throughout the Americas. The school emphasizes Native experience, culture, and history while serving a diverse, multicultural student community.
