Join us in hearing from Gregory K. Alex, MA, CDC, founding Director of Matt Talbot Center, a long-standing Seattle non-profit organization that operates a substance abuse treatment program and offers support, rehabilitative and restorative services to Seattle’s homeless, addicted and mentally ill populations. Established in 1985, the Matt Talbot Center (MTC) is located in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. The program’s primary goals are to restore participants to healthy lives, and to encourage them to take responsibility for their actions and family obligations. Mr. Alex holds a Master’s Degree from the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University and has obtained certificates in Chemical Dependency Counseling and Executive Leadership. Alex was a UW Husky football player in the late 1960s, and served 13 years as a team chaplain for the Husky football team.
