Please join us in hearing from Rose Waringa, a professional Counseling Psychologist with lengthy experience in community development and health approaches in Africa. She has over 20 years of experience in community development and child protection, and is very passionate about women’s rights and the empowerment of girls and women. In conferences in South Africa, Eritrea, Gabon, Zambia, the USA, and the United Kingdom, she has shared her case studies on the plight of girls and children affected by HIV & AIDS. Rose is the Executive Director of Precious Tears Initiative in western Kenya, a non-profit organization working in education, mental health, and community development. The organization works to:
- empower adolescent mothers and promote their mental wellness.
- offer inclusive psychosocial support, professional counseling, and specialized addiction services through school and community-based programs.
- provide youth and underserved populations with market-relevant skills, career guidance, and access to work-based learning opportunities.
