Jenny Clark, co-founder and co-CEO of the Women’s Empowerment Coalition (WECO), will speak about WECO’s current projects in Kenya. WECO has partnered with the Tepesua Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Kenya to support the prevention of child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM) and to support income-generating programs for Maasai women and girls. This includes expanding a community farm for food security and income generation, a mentorship program for junior secondary school girls, and supporting income generation programs for a widows’ village. The empowerment of women is so vital for the overall improvement of a community. Please join us to hear about these important projects!
