Join us in hearing from Christine Peak, a member of West Seattle Rotary Club and Chair of the club’s Peacebuilding Committee. She will speak to us about their current international project to support women coffee farmers by offering business assistance and development programs. The programs include training, conferences, and mentorship that will empower women with knowledge and skills for their long-term financial success. Christine will also speak about a service trip to Costa Rica in March 2025, which will bring that support to life, with opportunities to meet the women coffee farmers, to work in the fields, to visit the University for Peace, and dedicate a peace pole on campus. If you are interested in coffee, about empowering women, creating sustainability, and building meaningful connections with Rotarians in another country, then this program is for you.
