DESCRIPTION:Kenya Y. Fredie\, P-Patch Coordinator\, will speak on 50 years of community gardening in Seattle and what it has produced. Over the last 19 years\, Kenya Fredie has managed the development of community gardens for Seattle’s diverse and multicultural urban agriculturalists. Kenya is currently the Supervisor of the P-Patch Community Gardening program in the city’s Department of Neighborhoods\, which means she oversees 91 P-Patches throughout the City. As the first recipient of the Mayor’s Equity Action Award\, she has done extensive work to increase accessibility to P-Patches. \n  \nThis will be on Zoom.
